Accessibility at our office and on this website
Legal help is only useful if people can actually reach it. This page explains the accessibility measures built into this website and the accommodations available for meetings with our Edmonton office.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA on this website, and to remove practical barriers for clients attending our office. Accessibility work is ongoing rather than a one-time project, and feedback from real users is the most valuable input we get.
What we build into the website
Keyboard navigation
Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link at the top of each page.
Screen reader support
Pages use semantic headings, landmarks, and descriptive link text, and decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
Colour and contrast
Text and interface colours are chosen to meet contrast requirements in both the light and dark themes, and colour alone is never used to convey meaning.
Reduced motion
Animations respect the operating system reduced motion setting. When that setting is on, transitions are removed and background video is paused.
Responsive layout
Content reflows for small screens and remains usable at 200 percent zoom without horizontal scrolling.
Readable typography
Body text uses generous line height and respects the text size set in your browser or operating system.
Accommodations at the office
- Ground-level meeting arrangements where mobility is a concern
- Extra appointment time for clients who need it
- Meetings by telephone or video for anyone unable to travel
- Documents provided in large print on request
- Interpretation arrangements, including English, Punjabi, and Hindi discussions
- Support persons welcome at consultations, subject to privilege considerations
Tell us what you need when you book
The earlier we know about an accessibility requirement, the easier it is to arrange properly. Mention it when you call and we will confirm the arrangements before the appointment.
Known limitations
Some documents supplied by courts, insurers, and government offices are provided as scanned PDFs that we cannot make fully accessible. Where that affects your matter, we will read the material with you or provide an accessible summary at no additional charge.
Report a barrier
If you encounter something on this website or at our office that creates a barrier, tell us. Describe what you were trying to do and what got in the way, and we will address it and confirm what changed. This page was last reviewed in July 2026.
